PRODUCING IN PARIS

It is time | 08 février 2007

I am a quitter.

Yes I think I have established that. I start
things and then I give up. Can't be bothered really ("Do I look like
I'm bothered?")

I remember when I was a teenager and I joined the chess team - that
didn't last for long. Perhaps I joined the team for the wrong reasons
as well at the time. I was sick of girls and it was the only off-hours
hobby the school offered where I was sure not to meet any. There were
only boys.. and they were nice, I did learn a few moves (in chess that
is) but I soon got bored. So I quit.

I gave up dancing classes, swimming (didn't have the endurance) and ended up giving up my violin as well.

Maybe
I have lasted a bit longer in certain jobs.. although..Im not sure. And
I did finish my studies - so I guess its not a concentration disorder.
But do I look like I'm bothered?

It's maybe the same in my personal relationships... and of course on this blog.

Perhaps I should prove my self wrong for once

FAVOURITE THINGS | 19 décembre 2006

When the dog bites, when the bee stings.. when I'm feeling sad. I
think about a few of my favourite things and then I dont feel so bad.

Cosmopolitans without a straw

satin bows

Sand between my fingers

music with violins

cherrytree flowers

the tinkling Eiffel tower

a beautiful watch on a man's wrist

beeing picked-up at the airport

the smell of chimneys

Dancing creatures

In the political spectrum | 12 décembre 2006

So yes...Soon there will be presidential elections in France. Not
that I have had alot of time to think about it. Even when I'm not at
work my head is still satured by international news, Pinochet, Iran
with its Conference to prove the holocaust didn't happen, Karzai, the
afghan president crying for his people and Annan supposedly very
"tough" on the United states - in a speech that was only just..
well..very diplomatic. There are still so many things we are not
saying out loud.

And as I watched the Unconvienent truth - that has some interesting figures
but unfortunatetly isn't a very gripping film and read about imperial
ambitions, I stopped at this paragraph:

"It's fine to get a better or maybe a less worse candidate in, but that's the
beginning, not the end. If you end there, you might as well not vote.
Unless you develop an ongoing, living demcratic culture that can compel
the candidates, they're not going to do the things you voted for.
Pushing a button and then going home is not going to change anything."
Noam Chomsky 12th of february 2004

How true that is. I know this is no major discovery but however..
There are so many things going wrong. And none of the people "available"
to choose from in France's presidential elections are really going to do much
about it. Unless they feel compelled to...by their citizens. Well, at least in France,
compered to other contries I know well, people voice their discontentment

Not that I want to change the world, I just want to stop pretending.
