<< Time is of the essence | IM BACK! | Democrats, be emotional! >>
Took some summer vacation away from the blog, something well deserved -
But I'm back now, stronger than ever!!
Been quite busy hanging out with the most handsome teacher in Paris city.. going to Iceland to hike away in the north near Mývatn (see pictures ), visiting the beautiful city of Copenhagen (where I managed to say at least 3 senteces that made sense in danish, discovered bryggen, went to Stella Polaris, met some very nice people and got a red nose).
Like I said, I am back - and I have decided to find a "good newstory" for this page every time, I am so sick of the diplomatic stories on my channel I am forced to cover, the most obvious newstories ever on bombs and catastrophies, while we could easily do something else, something different. Like when we get images of Pandas celebrating their 7th year birthday with style, a mysterius giant legoman arriving on a beach in the Netherlands,
or find out that drinking more than 3 cups of coffee may sharpen women's memory. THESE are my favourite stories and my theory is this:
One good news story a day may help to keep France 24 producers' sanity!
STORY OF THE DAY:
German scientists say an experiment to play romantic music to sharks to get them in the mood for mating has been a swimming success.
A spokesman said: "We tried everything else, and it didn't work, so we
took a new approach. It has been tried with pandas and primates, and it
worked with them as well, so why not sharks?"
The music encouraged the sharks to engage in the rarely seen mating ritual where the male shark pursues the female and bites her fins.
The Hit list was:
1. Salt'n Pepa - Push it
2. Joe Cocker - You can leave your hat on
3. James Last - Traumschiff (title song for German version of the Love Boat)
4. Justin Timberlake - Rock your body
5. Bob Marley - No woman, no cry
My questions are, do the female sharks enjoy their fins beeing bitten off and who picked these "romantic" songs??
