Julien, 22, from France
A year in the US, as a trainee, what a great adventure for a boy born in a farm in the middle of Bretagne.
A double-side blog; mixing all kind of stories, and also constant exhibition of pictures, images from the street.
Actually, street is for him like an endless playground ...
(Personnal pictures, thanks for respecting them)

<< Allô / hello whatever... | fake, Fake, FAAAKEE | Le tour des USA en train !!! >>
I don't know why so many things feel fake in that crazy country.
Someone told me not a long time ago (...) that I was "not fake" ...
But is that not all the rest that is fake?
I mean all these flattering "you're funny" or even "you're clever" ... let me laugh seriously...
I'm thinking about all these "myspaces" (because OF COURSE every "normal" American young people HAVE TO own one of this page, otherwise you're "not cool"), with the last fancy music track automatically played (emotive songs for girls, trash punk-rock for guys), the most fancy pictures of yourself (it's better if you can look like someone just getting out a movie), and to finish the description, this incredibly long list of friends (longer is the list, better it's :AAAHH I just saw that I only had 7 friends on Myspace, how could I survive ?? help me, be my friends!" pfff) and all these "hello-how-are-you-doing?" without any desire to know about it.. "
OK in France we have blogs, and a ton of them are pretty crappy...
Sounds like, everywhere I go, it's ALL about STYLE.
Sounds like it's the most important thing to look nice, have gel in your hair, how fancy and fun are your friends, how fancy is you car, the place where you live, to laugh even if it's not funny, to flatte each person for keeping a good image.
Sounds like people are living for the image of themself and not for themself.
BE YOURSELF putain de bordel de merde!! ( no existing translation for that sorry )
I don't get how people can live in such an environment.
There are a ton of things I really love in US; and I also met very nice people.
But that particular point is for me a pretty bad aspect of US...
I might be stupid and not understand anything in that culture.
Or just upset and need to get out.
Sorry if that article drove somebody mad, I precise that there is absolutely nothing of personal, I just needed to yell a bit.
Next posts will probably be in English as well.
