Stratovarius est un groupe de speed heavy metal shymphonique Finlandais formés en 1984 à Helsink par le batteur et chanteur Tuomo Lassila, le bassiste John Viherva et le guitariste Staffan Strahlman.

Avant de nommer le groupe Stratovarius, c'était Black Water. Leur musique était très différente de ce que nous connaissons aujourd'hui, elle ressemblait beaucoup à du Ozzy ou bien à du Black Sabbath.

Le bassiste John Viherva quitta le groupe à la fin de l'année 1984 et fut remplacé par Jyrki Lentonen qui jouait précédemment avec Timo TolkKi dans un groupe appelé Road Block. En 1985, le guitariste Staffan Viherva quitta le groupe et Timo Tolkki pris sa place.
En 89, c'est au tour du bassiste Jyrki Lentonen de quitter le groupe et fu remplacé par Jari Behm mais très bientôt, le groupe lui demanda de partir car il ne répondait pas au style musical voulut.
enfin bref le groupe à subit pas mal de changements!

Un bon ptit groupe de heavy ^^ avec des envolées de guitares et un tempo enlevé de 200 BPM lol enfin surtout dans les premiers albums qui reste les meilleurs... Car maintenant, le groupe rencontre qq petites difficultés à repartir.. snif

Iced Earth | 24 avril 2006

Iced Earth est groupe de heavy metal américain.
Il a été crée en 1986 par Jon Schaffer, qui restera le leader du groupe et pour cause: c'est lui qui ecrit presque toutes les paroles des chansons et lui qui compose pratiquement toutes les musiques...

Le groupe ne rencontrera un réel succès qu'a partir de 1995 avec l'album Burnt Offerings qui reste d'ailleur mon préféré avec Dark Saga.

le goupe est actuelement composé de:
- Tim Owens (chant)
- Jon Schaffer (guitare + chant)
- Ralph Santolla (guitare)
- James McDonough (basse)

Ce groupe est vraiment excelent! Jon est un excelent guitariste.. Il a d'ailleur fonfé un autre groupe avec le chanteur du groupe allemand, Blind Guardian, Hansi kursch: Demons & Wizard.

Excelent groupe de death metal melodique suèdois.
DT fait ses début en 1989 à Gothenburg.

le groupe est composé de:
Mikael Stanne - voice
Niklas Sundin - guitars
Martin Henriksson - guitars
Anders Jivarp - drums
Michael Nicklasson - bass
Martin Brändström - electronics

Ils ont déjà une dizaine de disques et pas mal d'EP..
Mon préféré reste The Gallery et Damage Done.
