Gamma Ray est un groupe de speed métal allemand créé en 1989 par Kai Hansen, ancien chanteur et fondateur du groupe de power metal allemand Helloween pour monter son propre groupe.
Le premier album est d'ailleur très proche de la production d'Helloween de l'époque (Kepeper of the Seven Keys part I & II)..

Un groupe vraiment sympa qui a bien su evoluer.
