British singer Boy George has a rather strange, new diet — he only eats raw food!

The former Culture Club frontman has embarked on a strict diet of uncooked food and a grueling exercise regime to shed the weight he gained during his four months in prison.

“He’s on a raw food regime and doing an hour’s walking a day,” said a source close to the 48-year-old icon. “He’s also got some DJ shows lined up so hopefully things are back on track.”

George — real name George O’Dowd — was released from prison for good behavior in May, just four months into a 15-month sentence for assault and false imprisonment.

The Karma Chameleon hitmaker was forced to wear an electronic ankle tag until last week, allowing police to monitor his whereabouts.

Le chanteur est sorti de prison en mai cependant il n’était pas complètement libre. En effet il se devait de porter un bracelet électronique à la cheville pour permettre à la police de savoir à tout moment où il se trouvait.

Le chanteur a été emprisonné pour avoir agressé un escort boy en 2007. Le bracelet électronique n’était pas la seule mesure prise dans le cadre de sa libération anticipée. Le chanteur devait également se soumettre à un couvre-feu. Aujourd’hui, il est définitivement libre puisque les autorités ont enlevé son bracelet.

Il avait posté sur sa page Twitter une photo de sa cheville avec son bracelet en écrivant en dessous : « Le compte à rebours final ». Il a ensuite posté une photo de sa cheville nue. Il avait été condamné à 15 mois de prison ferme mais a été relâché pour bonne conduite. Il a d'ailleurs récemment fêté avec sa famille sa liberté retrouvée.

Il n’a en revanche pas fait de déclaration sur les événements qu’il l’ont conduit à l’incarcération. Sa victime quant à elle a déclaré avoir été menottée, attachée à un crochet près du lit de George O’Dowd et violentée. Le chanteur de son côté a toujours nié devant la Cour les charges retenues contre lui mais invoquait que sa victime  avait tenté de lui voler des photos privées sur son ordinateur.

They include pop star Boy George, 48, Sven Goran Eriksson’s ex-lover Nancy Dell’Olio, 48, Home Alone actor and Michael Jackson’s pal Macaulay Culkin, 29, and retired brothel-keeper Cynthia Payne, 76.
