George explose ENFIN!!!! dans tous les charts internationaux sauf en FRANCE!!!!!!!
Il se classe 22eme en Angleterre, 15eme aux Etats unis dont n°11 au us top 40!, 39eme en Australie et 16eme en Italy!! Seule, la FRANCE ne classe pas le titre car Virgin refuse d'assurer la promotion etant donné que le single ne leur appartient pas..... mais il fut NUMERO 1 deux semaines au CANADA! n°9 en slovenie...
Tout a commencé par un coup de fil du producteur du film, STEPHEN WOOLEY aux PET SHOP BOYS... Le producteur du film suggéra aux duo Pet shop boys, d'enregistrer la B.O en invitant BOY GEORGE à chanter le succes de DAVE BERRY de 1964.
La plus grande satisfaction de George aurra été donc de revenir triomphalement à New York, après 7 ans d'absence (aux Etats Unis), porté par le succès de THE CRYING GAME, classé parmi les 20 meilleures ventes aux Etats Unis.
La clip montre George délaissant la panoplie KRISHNA pour une perruque brune et manteau foulard prune-violet... melangant differentes scenes du film! La vidéo fut classé n°5 aux USA catégorie "best"!
la face B est "I Specialise In Loneliness" superbe morceau tirré de l'album THE MARTYRS MANTRAS...

La compil arrive quand même a se vendre tant bien que mal et arrive 40eme du top100 des ventes d'albums en France!!!!!
Dans les autres pays, aucun classements....

Cette compilation se vend timidement en Angleterre...
Seules quelques exemplaires se vendent en france, part ci par là..., et qui se trouvent en import dans quelques disquaires spécialisés...

George tente tant bien que mal avec moreprotein de booster ses disques et écrit 2 titres :

.... et reprend le standat de George harrison (ex beatles) :

Il édite ces 3 titres sur un maxi cd qui sort en DECEMBRE 1992...
Ce single sort en Angleterre et rentre péniblement à la 100eme place des charts! Il atteint et grimpe jusqu'à la 65eme place pour stagner et redescendre ensuite!
Petit succès peu convaincant...
Seule l'Allemagne en faira un tube et le place 16eme des charts!!! La france ne le sort pas, le boude malgrés la sortie du maxi en import...
George pourtant fait la promotion du single et chante un medley "sweet toxic love & oh lord" et se produit même au CLUB DOROTHEE!!!!
En vain aucun succes en france! De toute facon, aucun cd 2 titres ou 45t n'existe en france!
Avec sweet toxic love, George parle et milite contre la vivisection et le prouve avec la pochette "choc"... : des lapins élevés en batterie et un chimpanzé vivant le crâne ouvert...
Le clip se tourne dans la maison de George à Hampstead et Celui ci apparait avec le chapeau perlé KRISHNA... D'ailleurs George cloture sa période KRISHNA avec ce single....
Le top des top est AM I LOSING CONTROL qui est un superbe morceau tant dans l'ecriture du texte, la mélodie et le remix....
