L'album portera à bout de bras l'immense succes de I JUST WANNA BE LOVED mais ne rencontrera pas le succes escomptés, à la grande surprise de la maison de disque, du groupe et des fans....
La promotion fut timide ce qui explique cela.
L'album se classa 64eme des charts Anglais et ne se classa pas en FRANCE!

Bref, on ne peut pas considérer l'album comme un bide même si le succès ne fut pas la.
Les critiques professionnelles elles, ensencerent lalbum!

Lorsque CULTURE CLUB fit son apparition en 1981, une petite révolution pointait son nez sans qu'on le sache. Toute la musique dite pop allait bousculer et devenir une musique à danser, et non plus de la musique à écouter. Ce fut le charme du groupe que d'avoir à sa manière élevé le niveau de la pop anglaise.
Ce retour de Culture Club demeure du niveau de son passé. Par contre, les titres sont moins tubesques, mais l'album a le mérite d'être authentique, il s'écoute jusqu'au bout.
Fortement teinté de soul, don't mind if i do est le disque du retour, l'album de la résurrection. Boy George y joue de sa voix d'ange déchu aussi bien qu'autrefois.

I JUST WANNA BE LOVED 18-06-2006

Octobre 1998, sort I JUST WANNA BE LOVED annoncant le grand retour et reformation de CULTURE CLUB!!
Le titre entra directement N° 4 dans les charts des meilleurs ventes Anglais.
George fut le premier surpris car il affirme n'avoir recu aucun soutien des grosses radio anglaises, comme radio one (rtl chez nous)!
Le titre se classe 14 en ITALY et 84 en Australie. La france lui porta un succes d'estime mais ne le classa pas dans les charts.

Le clip diffusé chez nous sur m6 (mais tres peu) fut pourtant un clip gentillé avec des parodies de certains chanteurs connues comme madonna, annie lenox, michael jackson et boy george lui meme...

George porta une perruque et un grand chapeau et chante entouté du groupe dans une maison dans laquelle regne une fête....

Ce single porte la lancée du futur album à venir... et figure également dans la compilation GREATEST MOMENTS.

Le single comprend un genial remix qui dure plus de 10 minutes : DO YOU REALLY WANT TO HURT ME (quivver mix)
