Le 3eme single SOLD sort en novembre
1987!
Il se classe seulement à la 24eme place des charts Anglais et 4eme
en Italy....
Il sort en France mais celle ci le boude, car le public (et les
fans?????) n'adhere pas....

Le clip SOLD lançait un cri contre l'apartheid. Il
consacrait un retour aux beaux jours de Culture Club avec des dizaines de
figurants, une reconstitution d'émeute raciale et des voitures en flammes.

BOY GEORGE A LA BBC 1 02-07-2006
George étais blanc comme un cachet d'aspirine et aussi mal habillé que possible,
selon lui!
Il portait un collant imprimé "boy" sous un short de lycra et un
chandail trop grand bleu!
Il avait les cheveux tondus à l'exception d'une
casquette de base ball "boy".
Mais grâce à EVERYTHING I OWN, il étais
encore une star et on se battait pour l'interviewer....
Chaque journaliste
rêvait d'obtenir de lui, le recit véridique de sa période
héroïnomane...
George faisait en même temps la promotion d'EVERYTHING I
OWN en Europe.... et notemment au festival de Montreux en
Suisse...
EVERYTHING I OWN FUT NUMERO 1 AU HIT PARADE DE LA BBC 1...Pourtant,
keep in mind fut refusé par la radio.... et devint un flop par la
suite.....
Virgin en conclu que George avait choisi le mauvais titre et
Virgin choisissit SOLD en single...

Un single qui sort en 1987 peu de temps apres "keep me in mind";
Il
s'agit d'une oeuvre caritative mais j'avoue que je ne connais pas grand CHOSE de
ce disque et de cet évènement!
GOSH ( Great Ormond Street Hospital) est un hopital qui avait besoin de fonds
pour les travaux d'un troisième batiment, a fait appel à THE WISHING WELL le
groupe éphémère de chanteurs qui ont sorti un titre pour celà. A noter que LADY
DI en est devenue présidente en 1989.
Ce single est passé innaperçu en
France.....

SOIREE FERRY AID 02-07-2006
Pendant le clip, il sympathise beaucoup avec NICK KAMEN dont il portera souvent des badges à son effigie.....
Lors de la soirée repésentant cette manifestation, George s'amuse (un peu bourré???) et balance un verre mais....a qui???
