THE HISTORY

D.W.A.P is the name Andrea Fiorucci gave to this project when he finally decided to bring it out of his room. He bagan writing and recording at the age of 17 and I think that it is not lying to anyboby if I say that later he became a little fixture of the city's rock scene, as a member of the band MYEIN an actually as a member of the experimental post-rock band MEDLEYJUKEBOX (see links below! )

Over the last years, family and friends have received homemade tapes from the young man and he probably always thought it would be enough; but even if you never wouldn't like to become a figure of the mainstream scene you have to admit that there is a difference between playing in a room and being part of the indie obscurity ambiant.

Some of the tracks he has written so far are instrumental guitar songs, experimental electrorock or simply acoustic songs but with the writing process goin on, he has realized that he tries to put the most of the hard rockin'ideas in his band and that the tunes
that are dissimilar in tone and structure from those that he wrote for Myein or keep on writing for MEDLEYJUKEBOX appear on his demos. These tunes are often much more acoustic and address much more personal concerns.Even if he has recorded already two acoustic and two instrumental demo-albums with a four-track-recorder, it's only in june 2005 ,the day he bought new material to record himself, that everything became clearer to him. He played his first concert alone and asked some friends if sometimes they would help him out with his ideas if he gets trouble. He started recording in august 2005 his first official cd which will is named CHUCK MOCK, THE MOON-SPERMATATAZOON WITH THE HUGE COCK. Call it the way you want, don't call it, Andrea Fiorucci likes to call this type of work: "nu-acoustic songwriting".

THE CONCEPT

I like music which tries to break the rules of traditionnal songwriting and popstructures.
Why should some dude like him try to break these rules?

"Well, it's difficult for me to listen to commercial bands such as u know... popbands,
these dancingqueens.... it's dreadfully annoying. I admit that I've listened to
very few but the ones I have heard I don't like; this songs are always the same
thing...that gets on my nerves, much less the fact that I hear very little of
this shit, what bothers me about most of today's commercial bands... is the stupidity
of their lyrics...the majority of the time it's about fuckin', goin'in the
club, breakin' the heart of a girl, being strong after breaking up, flying in
the sky with your wings, leaving the love of your life...oh holy **** and ...
anyway.... I don't care.... It's always the same structures and the same
words...

I' m just trying to make a point.

Well for people, like me, who fight for true emotions, for real feelings of anger or
sadness, there's a new heaven somewhere...this heaven is built by people who do
music because they want to do music...not because they want money!!!
If you don't like my opinion, that's fine! Are you one of this dudes that still thinks that stereotypes work...ok fine...(no not really fine ...)

I mean, I don't think that my music is completely new, everything has already been said
and done, I know that, but I try to avoid the easy two chord song and the "Baby
I love you sentence"... I also know that most of the time perfection is in
the intention of someone and not in the work this person finaly comes up with
but it's already important to express oneself! Isn't it? So here comes my
opinion about popmusic!

Where is the inspiration in pop? Inspiration is in the breakdown... Inspiration infuses your
playing...: it's the reason you play.... Pop cannot inspire u... it does always
the same ****. It's only mechanical repetition! The real musician is already
inspired, but it's like a fire that needs tending more wood! When he hears real
music, when real music is played it speaks about what music means to him, it
resonates. So let's get more wood on the fire!

True music, comes from the bottom of the soul, like classical or jazz...but not only
because there are musicians who succeed in bringing rock to this level...
I think that most of the time it just needs more... u know... unsuspected structures,
some stop and go surprises, some poetical lyrics and there!!! comes the
emotion! This would be the music I like!
Music from the veines. Music is about making you feel better... like you're not alone
against everyone! Music has got a kind of interesting philosophical issues in
the inside...U may say it depens on the genre...but one thing is clear, you
can't find that in the simple repetition,or in a stupid stereotype, the music u
make should always be a single thing in
history...Haven't you ever notice that most of the radio songs sound always the
same! That is why the style of the popsociety is in my opinion so terrible, the
singing is worse, the riffs are still somewhat cool but degenerated. That is
because there's no feeling inside.. it's all about how to get rich! They do the
music that works...not the music they feel! I must agree that sometimes you
hear a song and you tell yourself, ok it's sounds cool but after a week you
don'y want to hear it anymore! You are sick and tired of that ****.

Music should - this is my opinion- come from the inside, music isn't this stereotype-thing, it's about helping you out of your fears, helping out the people who had terrible accidents, who are starving, who are sad cause they don't have a family, the spastics, the
retarded children, the wounded children from accidents, the terminal
patients...I've seen homeless people cryin' while their were listen to jazz in
the streets of Paris...but music means also party... should make people come
together and make them celebrate...

All I'm tryin' to say right now is that music should express something! The real music has it
on the inside... musiclovers smile and deal with life as best as they can and you know why? Because they listen to emotions and this is what music is all about... music is always a scream lost somewhere in the space that is reorganized in notes and rhythm..."
