Hong Kong's Oriental Daily and The Sun obtained several photos taken during the production of Yee Tung-Shing's
Prot�g�, which covers the entire life-cycle of drug with multiple storylines running in parallel.

Chinese director Feng Xiaogang's martial arts epic "The
Banquet," starring "Memoirs of a Geisha" actress Zhang Ziyi,
will have its world premiere at this year's Venice Film Festival on Sept. 3.

It will be the first full-length showing of the film after last year's
promotion in Berlin, Cannes and the United States, Wang Yang, spokeswoman for
Huayi Brothers Film Investment Co. Ltd., China's biggest private film maker,
told Xinhua Wednesday.

Feng and actors Zhang Ziyi, Ge You and Zhou Xun will promote the film at the
festival, she said.

The 20-million-U.S.-dollar film, coproduced by Huayi Brothers and the Hong Kong
Media Asia Films Company, will be released across Asia on Sept.
15.

Set during the tumultuous Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period (907-979), "The
Banquet" recounts the tragedy of an empress, played by Zhang Ziyi, who is
destroyed in a struggle for power inside the palace, Feng said.

The 130-minute movie was composed by Oscar winner Tan Dun and choreographed by
Yuen Wo-Ping, both acclaimed for the Oscar winner "Crouching Tiger, Hidden
Dragon."

It represents a major change of style for Feng, one of the most bankable
Chinese film directors, who has shot modern comic movies like "Big Shot's
Funeral," "Cell Phone" and "A World Without Thieves."

The movie's distribution rights in the United
Kingdom, France and Spain have
been sold, according Wang.

This film Runaway Nana 走佬 Nana is by Daniel Wu, Zhou Xun 周迅 , Yang Yo Ning
楊祐寧, Huang Qing 黃卿. Daniel has already grown his hair long for Long
Hate Song but for this movie, he has to grow it even more to play the
role of a mysterious boxer.

He said, "I think I could join F4 and become F5 with this long hair."
Daniel said he doesn't like long hair and after this movie, he wants to shave it.
For the movie, two months ago, Daniel has been practicing western boxing.
Daniel remembers that when he was at the university, the first time in
a competition, the opponent broke the bone of hisnose. Even though it
didn't have any permanent damage, but his left nostril often get stuck.
He laughed, "Luckily those days I didn't go back to visit mom for a few
months, otherwise she would have scolded me if she knew I was hurt."

A new movie, produced by Peter Chan and directed by Ti Dung Sing, will feature Andy Lau and Louis Koo as bad guys against Daniel Wu. The new movie is called "Chai Gai" (Stepping the Line) and will center around drug trafficking. Andy will play a drug dealer while Louis will play a drug addict.

The movie has a budget of $20 million (HKD), but the filming date has not been set yet. To make his appearance more suitable for the role, Louis will have to lose weight to look more like a drug addict. His character is addicted to drugs and will even sacrifice his wife in order to obtain money to pay for drugs. Louis' wife will be played by mainland awardd winning actress, Cheung Ching Chor.

Allegedly Andy and Louis' roles are not the main characters; the main story will center around Daniel, who will play an undercover police officer. However "Stepping the Line" has potential in the international market, as Peter Chan's partner is Andre Morgan. Since the film offers opportunity to break into the international market, Andy and Louis accepted the roles. "Stepping the Line" will be filmed in Hong Kong and Thailand. Due to Louis and Andy's busy schedules, the filming date for the new movie has not been set yet. 

Earlier, photographs of Daniel Wu and his girlfriend, Lisa S, making out in Daniel's house were published in a magazine. Just recently, posters were put up on the windows of Daniel's appartment. These posters were not hinting a sign of protest for having reporters pry into his privacy but were to advertise his band, Alive.

When commenting on the posters, Daniel said, "Since people love taking photos of me in my house, I thought I would take advantage of this point and stick up some posters to advertise Alive's movie, Four Heavenly Kings".

Alive's 'Four Heavenly Kings' will be released in cinemas on the 20th of april with its premier held during the HKIFF (april 5th). Daniel really hopes that 'Four Heavenly King' will do well.
