It's been suggested to me that we actually turn the book into an open-source product. Lawyer delay blamed for KaZaA deadline change
A music industry lawyer's failure to attend a meeting with Sharman Networks resulted in the extended deadline for the modification of Sharman's KaZaA p2p software, the judge in the case has revealed.
Earlier we reported that the deadline had been moved back from 5 December until February.
Justice Wilcox said Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) lawyer Michael Williams had 'shot himself in the foot' for not attending a conference with Sharman that he had ordered. The get-together was set to discuss the implementation of filters within the Kazaa application.
