Wanadoo a vendu un million de Livebox depuis son lancement

Le fournisseur d'accès Wanadoo a vendu un million de Livebox, son modem-routeur qui permet d'accéder aux services "triple play" (accès ADSL, télévision, voix sur IP). «Lancée en juillet 2004,

la Livebox est commercialisée à un rythme moyen de 46.000 par semaine depuis la rentrée», affirme la filiale de France Télécom.

18 mois de prison avec sursis pour avoir téléchargé des fichiers pédophiles

Un homme de 25 ans, pisté dans une enquête du FBI sur la pédopornographie sur internet, a été reconnu coupable mercredi par le tribunal de Bobigny (Seine-Saint-Denis) d'avoir téléchargé 1.500 fichiers pédophiles et condamné à 18 mois de prison avec sursis et mise à l'épreuve.

La téléphonie haut-débit décroche les PC portables

Surprise : on attendait WiMAX sur les PC portables et finalement c'est la 3G qui fait son apparition. Depuis quelques semaines, les annonces de machines équipées d'un modem 3G se succèdent. Mais, cette fois, plus question de carte PC. Il s'agit d'une intégration totale : le modem est installé dans un module mini-PCI interne qui accueille la carte SIM et les antennes remontent sur les bords de l'écran.

Accord Microsoft/Yahoo pour une messagerie instantanée commune

Microsoft et Yahoo doivent annoncer mercredi la signature d'un accord permettant aux utilisateurs de leurs deux messageries instantanées de communiquer entre eux pour la première fois, rapporte le Wall Street Journal mercredi, citant des sources "proches du dossier".
