Les Shinigami sont des êtres exceptionnels, plus vraiment humains même s’ils en ont encore l’apparence, chargés pour le JuuOuChou (organisation secrète liée au mondes morts) d’aider les âmes tourmentées à rejoindre le monde de l'au-delà sans perturber la vie sur terre. Asato Tsuzuki est l’un d’entre eux, et il sera confronté dans cette série à des être surnaturels qu’il devra combattre...

Cette série animée dont le genre est le fantastique est tiré d’un manga de Matsushita Yoko publié dans le magazine Hana to Yume. L’adaptation du Studio J.C.STAFF, qui a décliné cette série sur 13 épisodes, est excellente.

La série est déclinée en 4 séries d’épisodes :

Yami no Matsuei est une série à déconseiller aux âmes sensibles qui ne supportent pas les histoires de démons ou la vue du sang, mais au delà de cela, le scénario tient la route, le character design est sympathique bien que non exceptionnelle et la musique, parfois sommaire, sait parfois être du meilleur effet dans les moments forts de la série.
Deux OST composées par Tsuneyoshi Saito sont disponibles sur CD Japan, tout comme les DVD en VO. La série sait aussi nous faire souffler avec quelques moments assez drôle, de quoi nous ménager un petit peu :)

Que les fans de fantastique et d’histoires surnaturelles se jettent sur cette série :)

A noter aussi que la série est parfois classée dans la catégorie "yaoi". Je ne sais pas pour le manga, mais la série ne se focalise pas là dessus. Je précise pour ceux que ça dérangerait, l'anime traite d'abord d’histoires fantastiques, les relations entre les personnages n'étant, à mon goût pas assez développées (malheureusement pour nous u___u).
