Royaume Uni, de nos jours...
Les humains ne sont pas seuls sur Terre. Ils cohabitent en effet avec des Vampires. Cet état de fait, s'il est ignoré par la majorité de la population, ne l'est pas pour une organisation secrète chargée de se débarrasser de ces "chevaucheurs de la nuit" : Hellsing, dirigée par Integral Wingates Hellsing, la descendante directe de la famille fondatrice de cette société.
En plus d'une connaissance très fournie en matière de vampire et de moyens militaires imposants, Hellsing dispose d'un atout inattendu : un vampire du nom d'Alucard.

Au cours d'une de ses missions, ce dernier se voit contraint de blesser mortellement Victoria Selas. Il lui propose alors de la transformer en vampire, puis de l'intégrer à l'organisation.

Les missions d'éradication se suivent et il faut se rendre à l'évidence : la population vampirique augmente anormalement. Après investigations, la responsable est découverte : une puce électronique qui, une fois implantée à un endroit stratégique dans le corps d'un humain, le transforme en vampire "artificiel".

Mais ces "Freaks" comme ils sont appellés, ne sont pas les seuls problèmes auxquels Hellsing doit faire face. Eh oui, Hellsing n'est pas seul sur le coup. Le vatican a aussi eu vent de l'affaire et ne compte pas rester sans rien faire. Et pour eux, quiconque se retrouve sur leur chemin est un ennemi, et comme en plus Hellsing compte un vampire dans ses rangs...

Et comme si ça ne suffisait pas, voilà qu'un adversaire inconnu fait son apparition...

21.PARADISO

L'histoire se passe dans un monde désolé recouvert de neige et d'étendues désertiques. La majorité des hommes vivent dans des villes recouvertes de grands dômes pour se protéger du climat extérieur mais la pauvreté se ressent au détour de chaque ruelle.

Voila maintenant 200 ans que les loups ont été exterminés et ceux qui se rappellent encore de leur existence n'en parlent que par des légendes...

Pourtant ils errent encore. Ils prennent apparence humaine et trompent le regard des hommes puis se fondent parmi eux pour se protéger. Une prophétie raconte que leur réapparition signifiera la fin du monde. Sous la lune rouge, ils chercheront leur paradis (rakuen en japonais) et seuls eux pourront y entrer, s'en sera alors fini de l'humanité.

Kiba, un loup blanc, entend un appel au fond de lui qui lui dit de trouver cet Eden perdu. Sur les traces de Cheza la fleur de lune, il est bien vite rejoint par Hige, Toboe et Tsume, trois autres loups qui ne veulent plus vivre cachés parmi les humains. Commence alors pour la meute la quête du Paradis et un voyage qui s'annonce plein de difficultés…

Car ils ne sont pas seuls. Les Nobles bénéficiant d'une technologie avancée sont ceux qui ont créé Cheza pour chercher leur propre paradis et entendent bien ne pas laisser les loups le trouver avant eux. Parallèlement, Cher, Hubb et Quent, de simples humains suivent aussi leur piste pour leur propre intérêt.
